The v6 have a 7.5 rearend which won't hold up to any amount of hp. Best bet is to throw an 8.8 under it.

get a 5.0 computer and harness from a 94/95 car to make the 5.0 or 5.8 work. for the 351 you will need a swap oil pan, swap headers, a cowl hood and probably some other misc stuff that i am forgetting. to make it FI you'll need to get injectors, upper/lower intakes and probably more stuff again. it's early i'm sure i'm forgetting something. good luck with it though, and keep us posted!
oh yeah +1 on the rearend. that 7.5 won't handle either of the motors that you want for long.

I know people who have gone 11.0 with 7.5 rear. I had a 86gt 7.5 held up great in it for a long time. I would run the 7.5 till you break it.

86 mustangs with a factory v8 had a 8.8 rear. 85 was the end of v8 stangs with the 7.5
