I'd like to. Help but with working retail I could not commit and do you justice.

Good luck. I. Will make it down this year.

Lmao. My wife's maiden name Stallings; she drag raced a junior dragster back in the day, as well as a rail, her brother Gary Stallings Jr, and father (passed away in september 06) Gary Stallings (Sr.) knew or knows somebody that owned or did own Thornhill. He ran a few cars between clay city, Tristate, Edgewater and Thornhill. I'll dig up some pics.

Also i'm interested in a job there as well.

Gotcha, I'm drawing a blank on the name but that happens a lot. I know a lot of racer's faces at the track but I'm horrible with names. My uncle, Ralph Payne, owned the track originally from 1953 (owned the farm since the early 40s) He died in 94 I think, there was a year or two before the estate was settled that a cousin on the other side tried to run it I think. Then Al Childers bought it in 97 and sold it to Jerry Meyer in 2008. Meyer still owns it, but Jerry Saylor and Dale Ritchie lease it.

Give me a call. I'm interviewing tonight and tomorrow. I hired one of the positions already, so now there are two. Number is posted above.

Big thanks to Gene, my new starting line guy. Also to Pitbull (Brad) who's gonna be working in the tower and Ron (Cathy Storm's brother) who will be manning the ET shack.

My brother will be in the burnout box throwing water.

Looking forward to a great season and hope the rest of you can come down and see us.

Position in the tower is back open if anyone is interested. Work is from 6:00pm-12:00am. I ask that ya get there about 5:30 so that we're sure the position is covered before the race. Job entails tracking car numbers and dial-ins as they're called to the lanes, and round results. Very easy job, but you must be well organized, have good hand writing, and be able to speak clearly on the radio with the guy in the lanes. Drag racing experience is a definite plus. Pay for the shift is $75. You also get a $5 meal from the concession stand.

Bump. Easy $12/hour and a seat in the tower for the races....
