Before I tore it apart, my 94 Tbird ran a best of 14.15 @ 98.92mph. I think there's still plenty of room for improvement especially with a better launch. What was your 60 foot? IIRC, mine was about 2.2 on that run. What gears do you have?

Did you ever get a decent set of tires yet? It makes a huge difference if it hooks or not. It will get better just dont let it get ya down.

i went 14.7 at 93 on some 235 bfg ta radials. hitting second before the car was even pointed straight. im in the same situation you are in. im hoping my new suspension, tires and wet kit will improve everything. my sixty foot best was 2.4. i wondered if i could have done better leaving in second. what rpm are you trying to launch at?

leaving in second is not even an idea lol. what suspention is under the car? you need to have at least some drag radials.

2.4??? I'd work on that launch and get it to the 1.8 range and you should see 13s. I ran a 13.89@94mph in my 5.0 notchback when it had stock heads, but that was missing a gear on the big end (killed my mph).

Well guys that is what i was running last year bone stock in my 04 gt. And let me tell the three best mods you can get are tires, tune, and a little giggle juice(125 shot). Last year i went a best of 14.24@98 and the first time out this year after adding just those three thing(still on stock suspenision) i went 12.34@ 112. Hope that helps:bigthumb

my 60 foot was a 2.3 i think my time slips are out in the car. but no brian i never did get any tires but im putting some drag radials on this week. and no i wasnt in the red one i was in the flat black one with welds... i also found out my harmonic balancer is boke. so when i put it in time it just throws its self right back out of time. so im also going to fix that this week. guess we'll see what happens thursday... thanks for the input guys.

These Fox bodies suck at 60 footing stock. They need a ton of mods to make them 60 foot decent. Then after that they are not that fun on the street.
Solution: Make your Fox corner carve great and enjoy. Just IMO.

I have pulled 1.50 on bonestock rear suspension in my old orange car so thats not true. Bolt on some tires and let it rip. You really want to hook buy some slicks

if you dont want to run full slicks, the hoosier quick time pro's hook pretty hard too for a radial. I never broke them loose leaving the line.

yea it sucks so bad that my buddies turbo car went a 1.30 on stock control arms, axles and carrier and k member. he lifted that pass because was supposed to race someone that day at the track and was making a shake down pass. only thing it had was 90/10's on the front. it went consisntent low 1.4's and went 9.97 on a bone stock short block. that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

My coupe was stuck at 14.20 for about 3 years. The first time i ran with drag radials...didn't know what i was doing...everyone said heat'em up and dump the clutch, so i did, and i left the line sideways looking like a retard but i still ran 13.9. The second pass i heated them up good and left like i used to leave on street tires and ran 13.5, then got shut down for not having a helmet. I really think there was more in it if i had more experience on drag radials. This was with stock heads, stock cam, a Stealth intake and 650dp carb, headers/exhaust and 3.73s on a stock suspension except for Eibach Pro Kit springs (which blow as far as drag racing goes). You've leaving a lot on the table with your 60 foot.

I had 6 fox mustangs. None of them ever could hook better than a 2.1 60 foot. I don't believe in slicks. If you can't use it on the street then it's pointless to me. I'd hardly consider drag radials any better. Legal they may be, they suck for anytime driving.
For those with great luck with the 90/10 setup. How does the car drive on the street compared to a stock mustang? (i'm not being sarcastic either).
Thanks

Slicks and DRIVER will make all the difference. In 1994 my 88 gt bone stock with flowmasters, went 14.03 at 96 mph. That was on real street tires ( firestone firehawk) and a stock 2.73 gear. 2.0 - 2.1 60' times. The bigest thing I alwas see is guys on street tires launching hard and spinning first then hit second and bog. 2000-2500 rpm and little slip / ride of the clutch will do wonders.

I normally make it out of 1st great but i bang 2nd and get squirrely as hell. I've cut low 1.9 sixties on 17 inch street tires a few times in a 347 powered GT, but i still can't seem to control myself when i shit second. I always seem to be too aggressive or not enough.

Geeez.... Even my wife's 90GT got 1.8-1.9 60' on junk 255/60 firehawks. It has stock arms and all with nowhere enough gear. Still ran a decent 13.04@104 given it weighed a TON, 3400+#.
90/10's as long as I wasn't being a dumbass, it rode like a stock stang, even with a missing front swaybar.

Man I had my '94 GT pull a 2.0 60' on wore out old goodyear gatorbacks... And as far as drag radials go... I have 315/35/17's on it now... and it did better in the pouring rain than my 245/45/17 Fuzion HRI's
I coulda pulled 1.8-1.9 60's (or better!) in the car at E20 at the end of last year but the clutch is starting to give out

And I have had great luck with the BFG Drag Radials on my cars in the past. They worked just fine on wet roads as longs as you wasnt being stupid. The car I have now has 90/10s and no sway bars and I drive it all the time with no problems. Its all in what you want I guess.

I had 90/10s and 50/50s and no front sway bar and I had no issues on the street. You notice it for a whole half mile the first time you drive it and take a few turns at higher speeds. After that you don't even notice it. Well worth it if you ask me.

my car with a c4,3500 stall, 3.73, upper and lower control arms lowered full weight gt went a 1.68 60ft (12.65@108)on street tires and chrome 17" bullets. the pink lx with a 5 speed and 4.10 gear i had would pull the front left wheel on bone stock suspension all the way around with bfg drag radials and pony's. the 200gt i had that was bone stock except a k&n filter and flowmasters and stock h-pipe went a 1.78 60ft (13.79@98)on street tires. i guess i can just drive. lol

Lmao! As Rickey Gadson always says, "the proof is in the pudding", so if your getting those short times, then you gotta be drivin the wheels off those things... I cant wait to take mine out. My 91 GT had the front sway unhooked when I got it, and I didnt even know it because it still drove tight. Frame ties always help that lol...
