Anyone ever watch? On Horsepower yesterday they did a 306 build with these heads. Now granted they did their dyno on an engine dyno not sure what the difference is but they made more horse power than most 347's I know just curious if anyone watched, or heard of these heads..... was a good budget build

Didn't it make like 406 or something on the engine dyno? That's roughly 340hp at the rear wheels.

RHS are a pretty good bang for the buck. I run a set of RHS 215's on my 347...it makes ~400rwhp on motor threw a C4.

I watch that show all the time. They also had a show with smog era 385 series with nothing but a cam, intake and carb thumping out 375hp....
They must be really good builders. That was also a budget build with a junkyard block, the total spent on the motor was $2,500.

I thought they said they spent like 3300 on the motor total but still heck of a budget build to make 400.... Jeff what heads are you running the Pro Action or the Pro Elite... also just curious why you'd pick those over any number of aluminum heads??? I'll most likely be doing a build in the near future and I was just going to do like most and buy some used aluminum heads but after seeing these i'm not sure. I mean I don't care about saving the weight mine's a daily driven street car.

I watch it every week just to laugh. I wouldn't let those hacks build a lawnmower engine personally LOL

When the fat guy was the co-host...I use to call it the Ren and Stimpy show. It's entertainment...that's all I look at it as.

Budget building to me is less than a 1k. I would love to remind them that not all of us normal people make 40 bucks an hour.

exactly! ... a budget build to me is buying a $425 2001 mountaineer motor, working your ass off on it with a die grinder, then busting out 308 rwhp running out of fuel ... thats a budget build ...

dont believe the hype and all of those advertisements, just look at it as entertainment ... like the wwf or something

Was that the show the old guy suggested to use anti-sieze on the sparks plugs when threading them into the block.....on a motor that had cast iron alum. heads?????

Yeah....since Chuck left it has been going downhill.
