Good videos man!! Congrats again Sue!! I know I need to get use to using this line lock on the line and improve on the tree. I also know that only Jack can run the same #'s regardless if it is negative air, dirty air, tail wind or a head wind. Not sure why that is but ohh well the car is consistent and now it's time to work on the tree. I'm done chaseing ET's until I get a different cam.

Thats the plan Jack. I got the working great for me right now and I am concentrating on UMTR now. I will worry about cam swap at the end of the year.

my old silver gt lasted years with stock axles ... with you having a coupe, you should be fine (not very heavy) ...

I may see if i have time to get with you kevin and try to help you out man that car should run in the 12's on tires, you need drag radials , you just now learning how to drive going over 100mph on slicks with no sidewalls may scare you and you may wreck your car

Kevin1989
03-21-2010, 11:07 AM
I was thinking about the no sidewall thing yesterday.

kennebellcobra

I was thinking about the no sidewall thing yesterday.

You will be fine...first time just feels a little different but after a few you wont even notice it...just start high(as in 13-14) on tire pressure then work your way down once you get the feel.

Kevin1989
03-21-2010, 11:43 AM
i was thinking like closer to 18 or 20, and backing it down from there so i can figure out my launch rpm as i go. hope fully get it dialed it

kennebellcobra
03-21-2010, 12:22 PM
That's real high for slicks...just launch low just to see how they feel on the big end. I had my wife's at 10.8 Friday. Lol

Great vids Shannon. After watching all of that, I am dying to get out to the track, but I have another 150 miles and an oil change to do before going WOT on the new rebuild. Maybe one more week of street driving and I think I may get there.

I hope that by the end of the year I see mid 11's. It may just be wishful thinking, just have to see..........

It's suppose to be nice the next couple days;)

If you could just get it to leave like it pulls on the top end it would probably go 10's:bigthumb

Yeah, I am going to drive it the rest of the week, as long as the weather holds out. Only 120 miles to go:D Do one last oil change and then it is game on!!

You are right, IF I could get a 1.6 60ft, I think I could get there. At the end of last year I got wider slicks for the front and skinnies for the back. I just need to get used to the new slicks.

Hope to see you guys soon though.........

Makes me wish the Lincoln was together with the 4.10 and the trac-lock... I'd love to see what it would run!!

I'd just have to borrow me some slicks or DR's...

those vids make me mad when i see the accumulation of parts sitting around to go on my car before the track. anybody bored and want to wrench???? anyone? all i need to do is pull the motor weld in the new rails, change all suspension. coils controll arms struts shocks and k member. put new motor in. put bottle kit in and drive shaft loop. new slicks and shine her up. i think we can have it all done in an hour or so. lol.

I know your anger alllllll too well bryan...

my car has been on stands as a SHELL for almost 3 years... :(

all the parts to put it together are ON TOP OF IT, INSIDE OF IT, and UNDERNEATH IT.... its become it's own storage unit
