Recently after some horse trading I came away with a buddies 95 dodge ram 1500 ext. cab 2wd. Problem was, he said after driving for 15-20 minutes the truck would shut off, and it wouldn't restart for 1 hour. He said he could start it up in his driveway, and it would run for an hour without cutting off. He replaced the fuel pump, and the problem still existed. I ended up with the truck and went to his house figuring it was the pick up coil and replaced it, along with a new rotor and distributor cap. Needless to say 2 days later the problem still exists. I checked the fuel at the rail, and it's getting good fuel pressure.???? I even took the catalytic converter off just to make sure that wasn't the problem. I'm now running open pipe with a new pick up coil/ rotor/ distributor cap and after 10-15 minutes the truck starts bucking and sputtering and dies. After 1 hour she fires back up, and runs great for 15 minutes??? Could this be a map sensor??? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Forgot. It's the 5.2...318 v8 auto.

If I had to make a guess I would say the fuel pump is overheating, check fuel pressure when it is acting up. I have seen the crank sensor cause this problem as well. Most of those trucks do not even have a fuel filter so if the filter plugs up you need to replace the pump strainer.
