We got a tuner that was supposed to be unlocked but it's not (an xcal for my 08 GT). Does anyone know if Cincy Speed or MD has the capability to unlock it or do I have to just send it in to SCT and them unlock it? Thanks

A locked unit will likely need to be sent back to SCT for unlocking. Ken @ MD Motorsports MAY, be able to reset the tuner for you. The good news is, SCT is much more understanding at doing this than others such as Diablo who seldom if ever would provide this service without original proof of purchase. Have a good week.

It must be sent to SCT and thy charge 125.00 to do this. I just had to do this for my brother.

I know in the PRP tuning program you can do it manually. Must be an X3 thing

You can reset it to use on up to cars. It however it cannot be used on mulitple cars is it has not been unlocked from that cars vin.

Just sent mine to SCT. They charge $125.00 to clear them, 6-9 day turnaround per SCT.
