I took my car to the scales today and it weighs 2840 without me in it. That gives me a race weight of about 3040. I'm pretty happy with that since I havn't got to crazy with weight reduction yet. It still has stock brakes, heater box, carpet padding, and all the sound deading is still in it. Not bad for one of those "heavy sn95 cars"

Damn thats crazy mine came in at 2880 and i dont have any carpet in mine. I havent done anything else to drop weight except ditch the ac and trunk carpet.

You can get them pretty light if you want to. My 98 weighs around 2530 without me in it. :cool1:

I have a rear seat delete, kirkey seats, upr k member, welds, and all the stuff I didn't absolutley need from under the hood and fenders is gone. I also took out the e brake and deleted the abs. There is still alot of stuff I can take out to.

i think JimsSVT got his 98 down to pretty much bare bones, i cant remember what his ended up weighing but it is pretty light for a caged 4v car.

My 98GT with me in it is 2700lbs per NMRA rules. That is with me and around 100lbs of ballast. so like 2400 without me in it.

My car wasnt anything compaired to matt or Brandons...I still had factory carpet,panels,dash airbags all the reinforcement in the inside and a heater box.

well it might now since the motors out of it :cool1:

but back to the subject at hand. thats a pretty good number for a SN95 that still sees the street.
