There was a limited edition Cobra R series out a few years back but it was a limited edition edge body. They sold for around $50,000. THey were pure race, no radio, AC, rear seat, 485 HP (if I recall correctly) and I believe were only available in Red. Sticker was I think a little lower but dealer markup pushed them over the 50K mark. This one you are showing... I don't think so.

haha, i just read 470wheel hp.... i can go on corral and buy one with a teskid block and close to 500hp on all motor, and close to 700 with a power adder for like 14000 tops and they dont have a stupid wing

I think you're thinking of the '00 R? It was rated at 385hp and only available in red. The '95 R (closer to the body style of the listed car) was rated at 300hp with a 351W.

Really? You can buy a 4 cam 4.6L NA motor that makes close to 500hp? Post me the link for those. 500hp for that motor is about as extreme as it gets NA.

Yea but he really thinks his car is worth 55,000. I dont know that there are to many street legal sn95 cobras that are 55,000 dollar cars. I also doubt there are any out there with a double spoiler. It seems like he had to farm out all the work and had more money than brains and got taken advantage of by some ass hat. Whoever talked him into that rear wing, the painting, and just doing that to a cobra did not have his best interest in mind. Sad. This guy is more up side down in this car than beef the day after he got his Taurus. lol Kidding beef.

I actually sent him a nice email, telling him I thought he should go to this M.V. Performance and start kickin people in the nuts. The car is clean and pretty. The wing can be undone. It's got crazy low miles. I could see him getting $10-12K for the car, maybe a little more if he sits on it and waits for the right buyer. I don't doubt that he's got a lot in it than you get back, but that always happens.

Sorry but for 20,000 I would buy Shannon's(kennebell) cobra before I would spend 55,000 on that. I love mustangs and all but if I had 55,000 to spare and was looking for a car there are a lot more options out there. For 1/2 of that kinda money you could build you a nasty street or race car that looks just as nice with very good parts in it.
