It's a fun car to have, it doesn't have any more torque than a normal 2.0L 4cyl so daily driving isn't really that exciting. It starts feeling peppy at around 5K rpm, and it switches cam profiles at 6k. That's when it really takes off. If you get a 2000-2003 you have a 9k redline. If you get a 2004-2010 you have an extra 2.2L of displacement and an 8K redline but more torque. Ive never driven the the 2.2L but it generally dyno's about 10hp higher and the midrange torque difference is pretty noticeable. I would get one of those.. If I wasn't already planning to stroke out my engine to a 2.4L :)

I am thinking the 00 to 03 is where I will go. I will be paying in cash and I dont need stupid fast. I have my bike for that. I am happy with fun to drive and quick with good gas milage now. At least for a daily driver.

Well it sounds like a pretty good car for you. I generally get 30mpg. It doesn't matter if I drive 65 or 90, I still get 30mpg. From a roll it pulls on a stock S197 just a little bit. Ive raced two and beat both, one time with Hardcore's heavy ass in the car. And my car has the most conservative tune from the factory of any year of S2000s. The car will make you smile the most on twisty roads. With good summer tires the car will take corners and change directions as good as anything out there. It will keep up with cars with twice as much horsepower on a track just because it can brake later and take corners faster. You would have to drive one or ride in one to really know what I mean. I might be selling mine, and I'd be asking for 10K. It all depends on what happens in the next couple of months.
