1st attempt at a cage

My buddy decided that he was going to try and make his own cage. Over the week we started on it. This is the first time either of us had attempted this. We used a homemade bender that you had to jack up to bend the pipe. I don’t have pics of bender right now, but I’ll post some up later. We got the main b hoop in and the side of the c pillar. Was pretty impressed with first experience at bending tube. So far there is only about a foot of waste. We just got them sitting in there so we could get some pics of the progress we’ve made so far.

started bending the ones that go thru the dash but didnt finish. got one more bend then they'll go in just ran out of time.

Yea he been wanting a cage and his lil girls been going with him lately so he figure he better get one put in.

yea he just picked up a cheap knotcher from F.H. and a hole saw. didnt turn out to bad at all.

where did you get the tubing bender? i need one of those.

he got it from a guy at are work.

he just got the prints off line. those told him what to use, what size. where to drill holes, and so on. the die for bending the tube was what he said cost the most.

its not a bad little setup. it just sucks sitting there jacking the jack up every time to bend it. a air jack would of been nice. but im not complaining
