All 3 Mustangs missed the field for the Gator Nationals.
Larry Morgan missed making the field by.003 seconds with a 6.604 @ 209.07.
John Nobile missed it by .010 of a second with a 6.611 @ 208.36.
Erica Enders missed it by .013 seconds with a 6.614 @ 208.81.
The good news is, the old engine Enders was running last year ran mostly in the 6.70's, and was consistently a tenth and a half or more off the pace, and about 2 tenths off the #1 Qualifier.
This year, after only 1 off season of R&D, and 3 races, they are all well under .10 off the #1 qualifier, and only a tick off the pace to make the field. The Fords will get stronger and more consistent as the season rolls along. It will be interesting to see if the wedge heads run any better when they come out. It will also be interesting to see how well the Roush-Yates PS Ford engine runs when it hits the track.
On a positive note... Both Kurt and Warren "the a-hole" Johnson both DNQ'd!
