Sweet setup. I was thinking about doing the volvo head on my truck. Looking at that setup makes me really want to make the conversion.

www.turboford.net is the best place for info..

It, for the most part, bolts on with minor mods. Lots of support pieces are now available that weren't when I did mine.

Yeah, Brad.. Reminds me, I need to get a hold of him.

zlou363lx is that a holset? what are you using for a ecm? and is that a 5.0 throttle body?

Yes, a HY35/HE351. Megasquirt, Super Coupe 65MM.

8NO4CYL Sweet project, love the wheels too. Needs the original bi-wing on it.

Thanks again. Have two, I just need to decide which one to fix.

NXcoupe Looks like an SN95 throttle body in a way.

Similar, it's a 65MM off a Super Coupe.

That's Hal's old ride, was originally a twin turbo, the current owner/seller in feature changed it to a single.... Love the comments...

Anyways, time for a update...

I've seen some of the pics you posted over on LVC and REALLY like your car... was it not originally a T-top car?

Thanks...

Color is Bright Amber Metallic. Going two tone, black upside.

No, I put the t roof in.

Stangman
06-14-2010, 08:24 PM
That oughta look good. Roof's are fun arent they? I put a solid roof on my '88 hatchback to get rid of the sunroof.

I'm not an SVO guru by any means, were there any t-top SVO's made?

SATURNV
06-14-2010, 08:35 PM
It wasn't all that bad a job, I used to work as an installer, and we did t roof conversions on IROCs, and TA's back in the day...

I once did a complete roof swap on a 86... Original was all rusted and I had a TTopped Capri... Looking back, I should have just put the 86 driveline into the Capri..

About a dozen, non factory, all were done after delivery to a dealer.

A untouched Volvo head flow numbers are on par with a full on ARCA aluminum head.

While I haven't run mine on a dyno yet, similar setups are and have pushed well into 500 HP.

Yeah that does suck, He'll be back though... I remember when he said he was getting out of the parts game too... then slowly came back. I think he just overreacts a little. Hopefully all is well with him.

I refurbished my old headlights when I first got my '93, it's not too terribly hard, just time consuming. Now that I've done a set, I could do a better job that I did on my first set, if you're interested I might be able to do it for you. I do hope the headlight thing with Geno pans out... that would be killer.

Ever get all your needed crash parts for your Mark since you took out a bambi as well?
