Guy offered this as a partial, would anyone be interested.... NO rust, newer paint and new 18" triple chrome Irocs wheels and new tires. Interior is excellent except small wear tear on drivers seat..... LMK, I will need to make a decision tomorrow night. Price will be $3800

Yes, he's thinking of trading me both for my mustang...But here's the problem, I need cash for a home repair, so I'm trying to figure out if I can move this car pretty easy.... He seems like a good guy.... Do you know him?? Is he trust worthy??

thats a NICE third gen. there would DEFINATELY be interest on nkyfba.com i dont know if any of them would have the cash for it but they would love it. Maybe you should just keep it and drop a ls1 in it and go fast

I would have liked to have it but i wanted something more along the lines of the gsxr 1000 I got. Is the car in good running order? Let me know what you decide. I would like to see the bike in person this spring.

I sure will, definetly thinking of doing the deal. He said the car runs out great, but it might need a guage cluster (they work sometimes and sometimes they don't, oil, temp, charging)

In 88 they had roller cams so most likely if it has a tick in the engine its not a lifter it is probably either an exhaust manifold leak which happens quite often, or a rocker nut has worked its way loose causing the rocker arm to rattle a bit on top of the valve.

I had a black 86 Iroc 305 tpi back in the day, it went 15.50's..... thought it was the baddest thing on the road...:lol::lol:

My 86 355 when it was tpi went 12.80 and that WAS badass for a tpi unit. Of course the 355 had a good set of heads and a cam and I was using a 5-speed. I have since removed the tpi though lol as well as changed Everything lol.
Not bad for what used to a 2.8 v6, what a powerhouse that was lol.

TPI is awesome for the street, its builds great torque but dies off around 4500-5000k

looks pretty straight. def check the floorboards.

still have my 89. they handle great and you don't see a lot of nice ones. the 305 with the auto is a dog compared to the 305 with a stick. 305 tpi with t5 came with 220hp and 300ft lb torque due to a different cam profile, comparable to the 5.0 HO. Had a 91 z28 350 car with auto but just not the same. car shoulda came factory with a stick...big mistake by GM.

Did the deal, but car has a blown head gasket.... Had straight water in and he drove it to work today and got it hot..... so with that said, a built 406 is going in this weekend... any opinions on the value of the car if I put a carb setup verses putting the tpi on the 406..... It will have way more power with the carb, but will be easier to run in all weather conditions with the fi.... OPINIONS wanted before this weekend....... Thanks

My truck is carbed and it runs great in cold and really hot weather. Granted its not a race car but it does seem to be happy in all conditions. I have to warm it up a bit in the winter before i take off but that doesn't bother me much. I will say this. I like to see injection in my fords but my Chevy's I love a nice cars and chrome breather sitting on the motor. I would carb that thing. I dont know about you guys but it seems older Chevy cars are just cooler if they are carbed. All the injected Chevy's I have had never seemed right. That includes the vetts I have had. Did you do the trade even car and bike for your car? Post up some pics of both in the media section. That bike is cool as hell. He got with me last week seeing if I still wanted to trade my cobra for the bike.

I think I will carb it, tpi sucks the horsepower past 4000 rpms.... I traded even, my car for both the bike and the camaro.. The bike is BA, $3600 in motor alone, bored, cams ect.... $8000 in total reciepts not including the cost of the bike... I'll post pics tonight....

The bike is def cool. I wanted it and the only reason I didn't impulse get it it because the night I was going to go get it was raining and cold. I was afraid it wouldn't be fast enough for me too. I know it gets up and goes but I wanted more of my stupid fast gsxr 1000. I will prob pick up a mean streak or warrior soon to add to my mess.

UPDATE.....

Car does not have a blown head gasket... I found 2 coolant leaks and repaired today. It still has a miss, but I will figure that out by the weekend.

Car drives great except for engine miss....

Car looks good, but not as good as the pics lol.... I'm very picky and will give it a 7.5 out of 10

Interior is nice except for the wear on drivers seat, and it doesn't rattle or sound like a piece of junk.

Wheels and tires have less than 500 miles

$3800 obo or $4800 firm with the 406 motor that is complete from carb to pan

miss is gone, (antifreeze soaked plug wire) oil changed (never did hear a engine noise) you can hear injectors pulse..... runs and drives great, ready for new owner.....
