I used to be a diehard Goldstar guy until i started eating Skyline a lot. I don't think it's so much that one is better than the other as much as it is which one you eat more often than the other. There's also a huge difference in which particular restaurant you go to. Some of them water down the chili (i know this first hand from a friend who worked there) and some of them overcook their spaghetti. I'll eat either one but i think i still probably prefer Goldstar. The biggest difference for me is the cheese...they taste more different than the chili IMO.

It's a cheese coney, but replace the hotdog with noodles. So basically a three way in a bun.

Goldstar over Skyline, however Blue Ash Chili is still my all time favorite. I used to go to The Chili Company all the time when they were around!

Goldstar is my number one. The a split between Dixie and Camp Wash. I work in Camp Washington so I'm only a 2 min drive from there which is nice :D But then I'm a 2 min drive from Goldstar too

Dixie is a small NKY chain (3 stores) but it has been an icon in this area. theres a location on Monmouth st in Newport, one on Madison in Covington and one on Dixie in Erlanger.

I think Im gonna have it for dinner.

Dixie-Goldstar-Empress-Skyline....I'll eat them all but that is my order of which I prefer. Skyline has the best cheese but the chili is bland. Dixie rules!

I used to be a die hard Gold Star fan. Thought Skyline sucked. I was talked into going again to Skyline recently and it was very good. This is the same place I have been to in the past so I am not comparing two different locations. I realize that chili will change from location to location within the same chain for some reason. So either something has changed or I'm getting older and loosing my taste buds.

Goldstar is closer to my shop so I eat their more often. The different goldstar franchises can be crappy sometimes though. Love the potatoes at skyline but I somehow spend more money their...

Skyline has a better overall taste IMO.

The only thing I wish is that they had better fries. When i'm in the mood for cheese fries, it has to be Gold Star!
