Great choice! Nothing against Ohio just have lived in KY my whole life and prefer it here. I'm in and out of Cold Spring/Highland Heights everyday.

You'll like being on the right side of the river...at least until you have to register your vehicles.
I sold cars in Independence KY and I have always said the people over there are much nicer and more polite. Taxes are to damn high and tags are ridicules. Small price to pay for not having to deal with the dumb asses in the city though. Did anyone see where the wizz gave two ghetto people a wedding at white castles? WTF????

Welcome to the greener side of the river Scott :bigthumb
Even with paying taxes on my cars plus my taxes on my house, it's still cheaper than most places I would like to live in Ohio.

Welcome neighbor. You'll soon notice the air is cleaner in KY. Don't go into shock when you have to register your vehicles over here. Enjoy the new life!

Partially correct, they get their values from the NADA book. They had to look up the value for my 86 T/A when I transfered the title from the ohio owner into my name here in Ky.

We just renewed and we paid close to $800 !! Although, I think you might be able to claim it on Sched A on your taxes, I'll have to check though...

Yes that is correct, you can claim it on your taxes. I just got all of my stuff together for the accountant and I seem to always forget to grab my car tax stuff for all the cars in the household. Kinda sucks to have to pay so much, but been doing ever since I started driving. I still like KY over "the other state"
