I need a T-5 bellhousing out of a 94/95 V-8 mustang. I have a T-5 out of a fox body but the transmission I'm using has the longer input shaft.

I had someone esle mention the V-6 bellhousing. I've done the swaps before but never needed the bellhousing as it was in a SN-95 style Mustang. I actually have a friend with a 3.8 bellhousing that I'm going to try and locate to compare. If so it would fix the longer input shaft issue I've ran into putting it in a fox body. Thanks!

Gonna have to shorten the driveshaft to. Put a 94 t5 in my 89 gt vert. Im pretty sure it was 3/4 inch, long tube headers will rub clutch fork to, nothing a little heat and bend wont take care of .

Why not just swap input shafts and bearing retainers?

I put a 94/95 transmission and bellhousing in a LX a few years ago without shortening the driveshaft. The yoke just fit 3/4 more inside the tailshaft housing. Did you have to cut your driveshaft or did you do it to be on the safe side of fitting?

Has anyone tried using a V-6 bellhousing out of a newer 2001 Mustang? It does bolt up to the V-8 block as I checked it myself.

That was my initial intention and so I found a couple worldclass T-5's but neither one would work. 1st gears were larger on the input shaft as compared to the one I'm using. The transmission I'm using is a tremec out of a 2001 mustang V-6. I've done the swap before but it was into a SN-95 that used the same longer input shaft so I used the bellhousing I already had. I've already changed the tailshaft housing with no problems. Thanks for all the replys!

The input shaft is hardened which could cause maching problems. Also trying to set that up on a indexing head though possible would take a few hours. I was a machinist for years and the setup could get expensive at a local shop. Buying a 94/95 bellhousing would be cheaper.
The transmission bolts to the bellhousing and the bellhousing bolts to the block. Same height as a 94/95 bellhousing. Have you tried to use one and it didnt fit? I'm looking for a technical reason for it not fitting. I did notice the fork exits at a angle more towards the floor yet its cable operated though so that shouldnt be a factor. Exhaust may be a problem as could clearance on starter side. I can put it all together and find out but I was hoping to find someone who has already done so. Havent been in the garage the last few weeks and I'm trying to get everything lined up for when I do.
