I had a friend growing up, his older brother put some kind of engine on an old Ford mower. I don't know what the hell it was off of but it was almost as nasty as your typical Banshee. Us younger kids were never allowed to touch it but he would drag race cars between these 2 telephone poles on our street and blow them away.

So who has the fastest mower? I have a 12hp rear engine Simplicity (1977) I can do something with. I was going to restore it but may flat black it, take the deck off and do wheelies.

well my buddy has a mower that we changed the pullies on... it did 46 mph... but then he rolled it on the street and it put him in the hospital for 3 days..so he put the stock pullies back on it lol... at that speed u couldn't even turn it or it would roll
