After seeing the turbo kit forsale on here, i think i wanna turbo my car. i always wanted to but marker1989 gave me a good idea. turbo it now. and buy a block when i can and slowly build it to be nasty down the road. I dunno about building a block at this time but i like the turbo idea now.

Anyone know alot about on3 from what i have read, they dont really get back talked and the price is awesome! just seeing if anyone has any personal experience.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing Kevin, after a years refills on a bottle, it would have paid for itself! I'm looking at On3, and Boost brothers too, keep me posted on your decision and how it turns out!

on3 on their website said they put a kit on a 5.0, with a b cam and it made 488 hp on i think 14psi, i dunno how much i would run to put me at 420 ish at the wheels.

I have one of their kits, the stock 5.0 block is good to about 500 to the wheels...any power after that and you are living on borrowed time..the block will split right down the middle. As far as boost brother, its all stainless...looks really good though. On3 is mils steel hot side....i think the ebay kit of boos brothers also comes with a custom y pipe for your exhaust? I am in the process of putting my kit on my car.....we will see what happens?? I plan on buying a couple springs for the wastegate, lol baby steps....but with a tremmec tko, 33 spines, a1000 pump and 60lbs ers...im gonna stay with around 480 to the wheels and have fun

Kevin u should watch craigs list in columbus, lots of sprint car guys up there i found my SVO block for 1500, with a ballanced rotating assy. id build the motor first then buy the power adder. but thats me. otherwise ull be sitting there realizing there is 2k sitting beside your bed that u cant do anything with. at least if u buy the block u can start figuring out your combo, if u start a build thinking how to limmit it, it is kind of frustrating. on the other hand buy the kit and put it, on get it tuned and drive it. if it blows then build the motor, just pray that no metal goes through anything important.

you get the whole turbo kit. then 42lb injectors the maf sensor, wastgate, everything you need basicly go to on3performance.com and it will tell you what you get, doesnt seem bad, the only thing im wondering about is my car has h/c/i and should make Around 300 ish at the wheels, and i have alluminum heads, and from what i understand turbo cars run hot and i dont wanna warp a head

i know what your saying tommy 400 ish aint a bad number in my eyes thats what im shooting for, that kit should still fit a 351 so i can always buy a block and build it to correctly handle boost

i think it might come with a 255 fuel pump

Go to theturboforums.com and I'd bet you'd have a harder time finding guys without aluminum heads than with.

I'd slap the kit on myself, change the cam and run 8lbs with a safe tune. That's a forged piston shortblock also.

And the kit will NOT fit a 351w without some major modifications. Ask Paul

As long as you keep your tune safe you'll be fine. I know of a certain stock shortblock mustang that made 620rwhp with a MPT70 on 18lbs of boost down at cincy speed. Its still living after about 2 years and many passes. That car had ALOT of street miles and usually stayed around 165 degrees.

Make sure you invest in some top quality jack stands!
It seems 95% of the turbo builds sit on them for a very long time!

I started a thread under the power adder section just for On3 Turbo kits. The older kits were 304 stainless but the new stuff is mild steel. The mild steel doesnt crack like the stainless. I talked to Chad at On3 and Im going to pick up one of his kits as well. He did suggest going with the Master Power turbo upgrade which is around $300 more. The warranty goes up from 1 month on the base turbo to 1 year with the upgrade. If you get on Columbus Racing forum he is on there alot and there are a few people that have the kits on their car that loves them. For the price Im sold. You cant get a real good set of heads for that price and make the same power.
