Good place to have a B-day Dinner??

I'm looking for a good place in Dayton or Cinci to have a nice birthday dinner with the wife. Looking for somewhere we can go and get a bit dressed up and enjoy a nice quiet meal. Any suggestions?

The Celestial in Mt. Adams, or if you want to stay close to home you can try The Pine Club. I hear Flemmings is suppose to be good as well.

Eddiemerlots.com Great food and service. Its a 4 star place. Probably the same as the Precint or Carlos and Johnny's. Right off the north side of 275 at the Montgomery exit. I've been 3 times and loved it each time. Expect to drop a buck fifty. Well worth it once a year. Carlos and johnny's is just a few miles south of there as well. Never been but heard great things about it.

Indy might not be a bad idea either. There are a lot of great resturaunts downtown and the city as a whole is pretty nice.

The Celestial is a great place...great view of the city too. If you like Italian, I would also recommend Prima Vista, great food and a great view of the city from the other side....I think these two places are the best total package for food, atmosphere, and view.

I'm always a fan of Jeff Ruby's restaurants but just depends on what you like... here are some other suggestions.

Aroma is brand new, up at the Kenwood Mall. They hired Chef Romuald Jung from the Palace downtown. Friend of the family owns it, they'll be opening 20 or so of these this year. They've got a decent sushi bar too. Dinner for two will be around $60-80 with no alcohol.

Best seafood in town is, I think, Mt Adam's Fish House. I've sent several people there, always leaves an impression. Dinner for two will probably run about $80-100, no drinks. http://www.mtadamsfishhouse.com

There's a Korean place downtown Cincinnati, Sung Korean Bistro. Excellent food, just excellent. A friend of a friend owns it, came highly recommended. I've only been there once, dinner for two ran me $65 with tip, no drinks. http://www.sungkoreanbistro.com/

Do NOT go to The Melting Pot. That place is super expesive and I was still starving when we left. I have no problem forking out some cash for a high class meal once in awhile but I better be full when I leave. There portions were rediculously small. Its been a few years, we only went once and I will never go back.

I haven't been to Carver's in a while...

Mr. Lee's at the 70/75 interchange is good if you want a nicer Asian dining experience.
