Does anyone know what size the threads are on the heater tube assembly that screws down into the intake on the fox body's. Not sure yet but I think mine may be cross threaded. I put thread sealent onit when I installed it the other night but I have coolant coming up around the threads. I hope I dont have to tap the intake hole. If so I need the size and where would I get a tap for that?

Whatever it is, it should be NPT threads...

I have a few laying around we could check the threads on if you can come up with a thread gauge.

I have about 6 complete upper and lower intakes in the back of my truck righ now.And I have some fittings that thread into the lower for the coolant tube that have a barb fitting on the other end.Just some things I was going to play with.If I can find them,Ill get the size for ya.They should be at the house.
Ill give you a ring either tonight or tomorrow when I get the size.If anything I can run down to Aeroquip and he can tell me the size.

Well.. the end had some booger'd up threads, which booger'd up the first couple threads in the intake. He got a tap and chased the intake threads... but his heater tube was done for.
