I was bored and I was tallying up the money spent on modding my car (not including FIXING the pos) and I got really depressed haha so here is my list:
-PP Lower intake manifold and gaskets: $570
-Trickflow Upper Plenum-$110
-FRPP Gear and Install-$150
-Roush CAI-$200
-Pypes O/R H pipe: $110
-Flowmaster 44's-$200
-Summit U/D Pulleys- $60
-Heddman LT Headers and new gaskets-$325
-Tuner $300
Total: $2,025 bucks
I should have just bought a blower lol
So when I buy my cams and nitrous in a month then dyno the car, that will add another 1400 bucks or so to my total damage. Goal is 400rwhp+ on a 125 shot plus the expense for new axles and 315s on 17x10.5s on the rear and U/L CAs. FML :(

Yeah but I doubt you bought all that stuff at once. A lot of people do what you did and just buy bolt ons but end up spending as much as a supercharger.

Where the hell did you get Gears AND install for 150?! Or did you just do the install yourself?

Building a 2V definitly is more expensive than an old 5ohh, but I also think 2V's can make excellent sleeper cars. A lot of people in the Mod motor scene dis the 2V's but you can surprise a few of those guys with a nicely built one.

Damn it feels good to be old school rockin a carb sometimes
Though i am toying with the idea of spending a retarded amount of money on a new Pro Systems carb (about as much as an EFI intake).

You should have saved the money on #s 1, 2, and 4 and just gotten a nice set of cams. You would probably have saved money and made more power. I also would have gone with magnaflow over flowmaster, but that's basically personal preference. And if you haven't already, get it dynotuned.

He cracked his stock intake manifold and had to get a new one anyway. The famous "while I'm here" mod

Basicly why i sold my 04 GT years ago and bought the 03 cobra. I could not justify the cost to upgrade vs buying a completed project. But it did not end there..... decided to call it quits just short of the whipple. Jdubya took care of that when he bought it from me.. Then it umm blew up after he sold the car. Have to say i like to milder SN95 cobra with a new edge cobra motor much better.

It's not a ported and polished intake its a professional products typhoon intake and I agree he should have picked up a nice used stocker for $50-100 and saved the money.

Only reason I bought the PP was that I was swapping cams and spraying the car> I would not like the stocker to be blown to bits in case of backfire.

I did see a Fox Lake P51 set up for nitrous with burst panels installed in it. I thought that was a pretty slick idea.
