im layed off till late febuary and its not the money situation at all that sucks for me its the boredom. any productive ideas? i plan on working on the car, and figuring out the cruise for a cure idea and try to get you guys a date for it but what else??

I've been laid off since august of 08, and for me, i've been going to school and just trying to stay busy when i dont have anything to do.

spend alot of time doing research and just read on things to better inform yourself about things you like. (like cars, performance, photography, etc.)

Try to do things you didnt have time for before. Go to the gym, work on cars, and etc.

Being layed off with no money issues and a definite return to work date is a problem I wished I had. My car would be worked on non-stop and I couldnt even imagine the home projects I could finally finish. Matter of fact Im so jealous I cant stand you. I've been off since Dec.21st for back surgery and don't go back until March 1st or so. Thank god I have short term disability pay but DAMN!! It sucks, I'm off being paid and still can't do anything that needs done around the house. I need to take the car and have the swing out door bars installed to help with the fresh back. Other than that I just sit around and count down the days til race season.

When i was laid off i actually fell into some kind of sleep disorder where i wasn't burning enough energy to really need as much sleep as i was normally getting, so i couldn't sleep more than about 3 hours a night and i was wide awake. I started building model kits and stuff to occupy my mind when i couldn't sleep.

I've been off for far too long now. I hit the gym daily, work on my car/truck/bikes, take my woman lunch, surf the web, and people keep putting things in my driveway and garage to work on lol... I'm not bitching about anything except the no real job part...

i just started working with marker at some car wash for a month, halfway through the day my real job called me and wants me to work wednesday and thursday lol
