The Flag!

I went down to winchester Ky today to watch my daughter. She is in the color guard for the band. She does the flag thing. Kind of a performance art thing. Kind of cool. Well, we get down to this school, find a seat, and then it was time to stand for the national anthem. We all stand up, Everyone removed their hats, hands across our hearts, and then it happened. Everyone in the gym looked all around and there was no american flag hanging anywhere. WTF!!! Granted this was not the richest high school in KY but not having a flag in a gym? Come on!!!!!
I think I have one here at the shop. I may compose a letter and mail it along with the flag.
It was pretty strange listening to the anthem and not facing a flag. Weird.

But in all honesty, they may not know.

I'll be honest, at my first UMTR event, I could barely make out the Anthem over the PA and didn't know where the Flag was.

But once I could understand the music, hat was off and over my chest.

I know in grade school the Pledge of Allegiance was played every morning and a flag in every classroom.

The school can go to any American Legion post & that Legion Post will donate a flag at no cost at all to the school, the one that I belong to has donate countless flags to schools & other organizations. Have the school check into it.
