Bought me a new Sig Rifle!!!

I have been wanting to get myself a fun magazine fed .22 for awhile now.
I have a bunch of tube fed .22s. But just wanted something fun.
I have been contemplating the ATI GSG-5SD

While a fun gun it just feels like a glorified Airsoft Gun. So I held out to see the reviews of the Sig 522.
I am glad that I waited because this thing is great. Feels like you are holding a real gun unlike the GSG.
So I picked one up today got the Factory Sig 556 sight and a Magpul rear.

Sights should be in on Saturday so it's just the rail for now.
I got it out the door with sights for $480.

ATI just announced they are redoing their GSG series a bit due to the lawsuit filed by HK. But sounds like they are good changes and they will be cheaper. So I will probably will pick up one of those as well.

Now just need to get the saving up a little and I will be getting a YHM Suppressor for it.

Or a day at the farm. Wally world .22 550 box for 16 bucks, no brainer there. Too much fun!! Congrats on the purchase!
So what is the story on the "other" .22? lawsuit from H&K? Haven't heard about that one.

HK sued ATI who was making the GSG5. So they had to stop making them making the prices go up.
Umarex came along and bought the rights to make HK .22 clones

My guess this is why HK sued ATI.

Since ATI has settled with HK, by changing the design slightly.

Now we will have to companies making HK .22 clones. The Umarex will actually have HK markings and will be sold as direct clones and the ATIs will be slightly different.

In terms for simple people like me. We will now have two companies making the clones. And the prices will be cheaper.

Ive always had a thing for mag fed .22 rifles. If I come across a 1022 ruger for the right price, Ill get it and dress it up to look "Liberal Scary" and have a blast with it. Nice Purchase!

I see Vances has theirs advertised for 429.00 probably without a sight. Where did you get yours? Sig also still has the $300 rebate on their 556 line.

I got mine from Classic Arms and Archery in Lexington.
Yeah the 429 would be without sights.
