I have a sony bravia LCD Tv that is acting up. Last night the picture started acting like everything was in slow motion and is distorted and dark in color. Anyone ever have a similar problem? I've searched the forums but havent had any luck figuring out whats wrong with it.

you might need a repairman, those tv's are tough to mess with if you don't know what your doing

I bought a new Panasonic TV but I would still like to attempt to fix this one. I think I'm going to do the research to figure out whats wrong and try to fix it myself. Anyone ever messed with an LCD before?

I don't know what brand this one is, but other than boards and ribbons, it doesn't look like much there. If you can do enough research to find out what board or component is bad, you may be able to find the part on line somewhere. The biggest problem with the new TV's, is the technology changes so much, so fast, that companies don't support parts for very long if at all. They contract out how ever many they plan on using, and that's it. When they are used up, there are no more being made, so there are companies that refurb boards, but usually it is send it in and wait for it to come back...then HOPE that fixes it. Is it flashing any codes? Most Sony's will flash the power light a number of times and repeat. If it is, that can help you find a starting point of what's wrong.

Sounds like the Inverter board is going out Kelly.

NOT a real difficult repair actually.
