I use to unload trucks at UPS, at first it is hell but then after awhile it will not even faze you. Just keep at it, remember lift with your legs not your back and use a fulcrum when available.

Which Target do you work at? I worked for the one in Fields Ertle for 5 years, was the flow team lead. I'd say over the years i've literally unloaded 1000 trucks. For about a year i was the only unloader and unloaded by myself every trailer that came into that place before i got promoted and left night shift.

Dude that's like an echo of what i must have said a million times. Our store couldn't keep a logistics exec for more than 6 months let alone an STL. By the time we got a decent logistics exec i was having health problems and ended up on a 3 month disability and they replaced me with someone else. I came back to a different job i knew nothing about and failed horribly and ended up moving on. I tried getting back on at Beechmont in '09 but they didn't want me

I bet it feels good to be out of the house and doing something. Just stick it with it and over time you will be back to where you were.

Congrats on getting back to work. I unload/load for UPS and the first couple weeks was rough. Its def a good work out. I have lost some gut and gained some muscle since working there.

Left in '05. I'm not really sure what kind of terms i left on...they weren't happy to say the least. I put in 2 weeks and ended up needing a couple days off during those 2 weeks and was told to just not come back so i didn't. I figured being 5 years ago it would be old news...but i kinda think someone from my old store had a hand in not getting back on, or maybe they were fully staffed with seasonal people..who knows.

You would not want to return it has changed so much in the last 18 months. there mentality now is you owe us your lucky you even have a job in this economy. but all that a side i still am happy to be back i love the people i work with and my boss is super cool he is a member on here.

Yeah i pretty much left because i was doing a poor job and making my boss look bad and he was a good friend of mine up until the point when i put in my notice to step down. At first i wasn't even going to leave...it all just blew up really. It's a shame cause like you said the people there were so cool. I got laid off from another job in '08 and now I'm working at "brand W" and it's just not the same...i have no aspirations to move up at all. They treat their people like garbage.
