95 cobra check engine light.

First off i have a 95 cobra with 197,000 miles not much has been done to it. The check engine light came on last week and the engine sputters and dies when idleing sometimes. The exhaust smells a little rich on fuel.

Anyone have any ideas before i start throwing parts at it?

I was thinking maybe 02 sensors or fuel press reg. I did clean the mass air sensor and the air temp sensor.

Need to have it scanned and see what codes are in it. One easy thing to check is pull off the vacume line at the fp regulator and see if it has fuel in it...I've seen that a few times.

Yeah i am gonna try to get it down to auto zone tomorrow eve for a scan. I geuss the fuel in the vacum line is a definet bad fpr?

Yep...I've seen them go bad and not leak into the hose too but will show high pressure.

Not that I know of...I remember doing the paper clip on the old chevy's. I heard az don't scan the older ones anymore but don't know for sure. If you can't get it scanned and you are around the Bellevue area 6:30-3:00 I could scan it for ya.

Coolant temp signal low, Checked out found small crack in radiator at top, and low on coolant topped off the coolant and that code is gone. Now it says low signal on mam so i cleaned it out and check engine light popped back on. But it is running pretty decent. i am gonna wait till sat to take it out for a drive.
