I know this has been talked about before, justa wasnt able to find the old tread on here. Right now on my motor setup im running a set of explorer gt-40 heads, Not the p's. on my 306. I went with these because PLATED had good success with these on his old coupe. Don't really want to fork out the money for a set of trick flows but i dont want my motor setup with the turbo kit to take a crap because of the heads. Wanting to know what is the most you can get out of the gt-40's with a good port job ?, Who does professional Port work in cincinnati or close? and if any body has any pics of port work that they have had done of their gt-40's

Might not be worth the cost if you pay a pro to port them but you could do it yourself...just buy a standard abrasive kit...I think 260001 or something like that...has a basic proting guide...then do a lot of reading. Here is some pics of the ones I did on my car

Yeah, ive done some porting, I took a set of e7's and ported them as much as they would go, seem to flow pretty good but ive heard you can over port gt-40's and screw with their flow, don't know if thats true thats why i figured that i would have them professionally done. Other than factory castings whats the difference between e7 and gt-40's, is it just port opening?
