very nice!
i wonder if that cover will be on the production models. i remember right before they released the 05's, the concept cars had a sweet cover, but they werent on production units. i think they came on later years like 07 or something.

I just got deja Ja Vu from the 2nd gen SHO's off that intake manifold...
Here's to hoping the production model is made of metal and doesn't have oil control problems :chug:.

"From the throttle body, the air flows into a new composite manifold, and like with many current engines, the use of a composite intake manifold has several advantages. It reduces the mass at the top end of the engine, which lowers center of gravity, and the internal passages are also smoother, thus lowering the flow restriction and aiding breathing. The top half of the 5.0's composite manifold is molded in gray to match the aluminum blocks -- a nice aesthetic addition considering the tubes are left exposed by the engine trim. Rather than cover the entire engine, Ford opted for what is essentially a frame for the very attractive intake tubes with a big 5.0 badge on the front."

not gonna be very blower friendly though, i said 2 months ago that these were probably gonna be pretty high compression due to the power output
i had just read yesterday that they are going to be 11.1

as for the new 5.0, guess you can't just say 5.0 anymore and it automatically be synonymous with fox body

Nothing wrong with a composite intake these days. My 3v has seen 27psi and hasn't complained once.
