got a 1970 351w block and heads. switching over to some roller tip rockers. also had the heads skimmed, new valves and screw in studs. i have an adjustable rod just no idea on how to measure it up. I tired the finger tip up and down but don't know how much is too much. Right now the stock rods won't work cause they are too long. I can barely get the nut flush with the stud tip before it gets too tight. I'm using a hydro flat tappet style cam. Anybody got a site or a how to?

It isn't that hard to do, Bob. If I could do it, I know you can! :bigthumb

Just a few tips...
You must use a solid lifter for checking.
Don't get hung up on getting the witness mark dead center, its more about getting the witness mark narrow.(Less contact area on the valve tip)

Hey, learned something else new today. Great stuff. This is the kind of stuff I like to read about. Pictures and everything really help better understand the concept.
