running un-equal length bbk shorties on p~heads ... passenger header fits great, no plug issues at all ... ((but)) the driver side header, #7 plug wire boot is tight ... i mean tight ... i wrapped 3 layers of that DEI exhaust wrap around that side, the plug wire is laying on the 3 layers of wrap and against the header ... am i ok or do i need to run a shorter plug in that cylinder?

DEI wrap is great. You shouldnt have any problems.

But you better ask Kurt just to make sure.;)

Are you already using a 90 degree plug boot on that plug Rick?

im running the ford 9mm wires ... not a fan of them, but they are cheap and better than the 8mm ... had to send the nice msd multi angle's back (wouldnt fit) ...

I run the Anderson plug wires which I think are essentially the Ultra 40 wires. I don't have any issues but it may be that I have the 1 3/4" bbk long tubes...?

Change that one cylinders plug boot to a 90 degree boot....aren't the fms's 45 degree? I will probably give you a little more room.
