Bought a beat up old coupe from a feller off here.... This is what it started off as... minus the hood.
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb78/blowpastyou/carinprocess001.jpg

I wanted a two tone paint job, so a buddy hacked this paint job on the car... Its definetly a 10 footer, but much better.
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb78/blowpastyou/carinprocess025.jpg

Then It was time to try and go fast, so I tore it all apart, and went at it. This is the ending result of the 3 months after I bought it... Went a best of 9.95 a 13x??mph, 1.43 60, leaving at idle on 275/60 radials. This is with stock block, crank, rods. Not too bad....
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb78/blowpastyou/feb22008008.jpg
http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb78/blowpastyou/feb22008010.jpg

Then I decided to build a boss block 331, well the shop that built it messed it up beyond recognition. Ended up having to completely rebuild that. and ended up with a boss block 338, and ive been going crazy ever since. I took it way too far. I havent had a lick of fun since I started this project.
So now Its a 338, highports, titanium valvetrain, 88mm custom turbo setup, air/water intercooler, motor/mid plate, ginormous solid roller, super vic efi, 90mm accufab, 160# injectors, Fast efi, msd 7530, Weldon 2035, spaghetti menderswiring, powerglide, rearend narrowed 5", 35 spline gun drilled and star flanged axles, big 9" housing ends, spool, main cap studs, T/a girdle, Aerospace brakes all the wayaround.. 10pt moly cage, through floor subframe connectors, mini tubs, coil overs in the rear....theres much more, but you get the point. I'll try to keep updating this as I go

You sure you aren't related to Ray in some way?? JFWY Don't give up on it, wait out whatever is going on and see where things go from there, you've got too much and have come too far with it to give up now. You'll kick yourself in the arse if you get rid of it. For real.

Tomorrow im going to finish clean the mini tubs up, seam seal them and get them coated, and put the carpet to them.

Damn, Looking Good!:bigthumb

Running the trans cooler in-line like that will kill your ice in your IC. After one run, my H2O reservoir, the ice was gone and the water was warm to the touch. Trans temps NEVER got over 160 thou.:D

Keep the pics coming.:)

Im also going to be running a trans cooler under the car with a fan on it, for street driving. Hopefully this will help a little? Only one way to find out.

Blowpastyou
06-23-2010, 01:52 PM
You can't run a thermostat. But you can run a restrictor. I'm going to leave the intake natural, and the edelbrock elbow will be replaced with a wilson as soon as I find a deal on one.

Maximus
06-23-2010, 07:22 PM
#16 Line? You shouldnt need a restrictor. When I had my first Turbo'd Stang, I ran #16 line with no restrictor and had zero problems.

Got the motor and tranny set down in the car, put the AJE p/g crossmember in, and measured for a travel limiter for the motor. Think i might move it back another inch or so. I also couldnt help but to set the hood on it and see what it looked like closer to ride height...!!!
