i refuse to pay 164.87 for a clicker for the jeep from my local dealership ( thats after a 45 dollar programing though ) but still is there any place online to buy them then i could take them in to be programmed?

really? Walt Sweeny Dodge charged me way under 100 bucks for my keyfob and they programmed it too.

Check on Ebay and you should be able to find directions for programming it on a Jeep forum somewhere. I programmed the remote for my old 99 GT myself...
also check different jeep dealerships. For some reason they are not all the same price. I had a quote for 175 on a newer Nissan from one place then called another one and it was 50 bucks with them programing it.

get one off ebay, 2000gt did this. very cheap
