Well my A arm bushing started squeaking in my 94 cobra so i decided to order some new ones and simply replace them. Ok 50 buck not too bad for new bushings. Get up bright and early saturday morning hoping to have my car done by the afternoon. Well everything goes smoothly until i have to use a nameless autoparts store rented coil spring compressor which is a rickety POS. Finally get the spring somewhat safely secured and remove it. Then i start to remove the A arm bolts rusted as hell and hard as hell to get off finally break loose with some PB blaster. Well finally getting ONE a arm removed 3 hours later i go to get my old bushings pressed out and the new ones in. The bushings are a bitch to get out but with a little force the came out. Finally start to press the new ones in it starts but then the press just folded up the cheap ass stamped factory a arm sooo it was shot. Well by now its 9 pm and im pissed and lacking patience. Gotta be at work monday so i figure ill make a jegs run.Jegs has no sn95 A arms in stock but they had some foxbody so i bought foxbody tubulars. drivers side bolted up fine adjusted caster/camber and had to shorten tie rods no big deal move to the passenger same ordeal then i find my a arm bolt was cracked it now 9 30 pm every place is closed so now im still stuck without a car an waiting to get bolts. what i have learned Patience is a virtue whatever the hell that means i shouldve waited took my time and ordered the right A arms to begin with.
