03-04 Cobra wheels would look cool. I also like the older Saleen style . . . americanmuscle.com and cjponyparts.com offer them.

How about the Hyper chrome or whatever each brand calls it. You basically get the best of both worlds.

go with fr500. Everyone has cobras and welds and bullets. Unless you want to look like everyone else running cobra rims. Look at the ones chad has if your going to go that route. But fr has black and chrome and other choices that will set your car off. Thats what I am going with.

Kev, you need to go see chads car before you get any. If your not going to do a 5 lug swap, which you damn sure should so you can put the fr wheels on it, his are some of the nicest I have seen.

chadomac
11-22-2009, 01:47 AM
actually OE wheel are the only ones that makes this wheel they are based on a cobra r wheel but if you look they have the riviets all the way around the inside lip they are the only ones to do this. and they have a HUGE selection of fox 4 lugs just about anything you want. i was going to go 5 lug till i found these so now im 4 4 life LOL

im telling you for what you pay for the 5 lug set up and then the wheels and tires you could buy any 4 lug wheel you wanted i was going to cahange mine over until i did the research and found out that i could stay 4 and find a awesome wheel. and there are a LOT of different ones out there. and i guess the most important question you have to ask yourself is why do i need a 5 lug set up? will 4 lug work the same for me?

Couldnt agree more. Cobra R's, Bullitt's, 10th Ann. Cobras are all nice but you see them on every mustang. Go with something thats different that isnt a Ford wheel. If your good with photoshop use that to see what they would look like on your Notch.

TSW makes a ton of awesome wheels with staggered fitment but I believe most are in 5 lug only. They offer chrome, silver, black and gun metal. If I didn't already buy a set for my GT I would look into these. Have not seen many around either.

leroy93lx
11-22-2009, 10:19 PM
Go to wheelstudio.com and look at their staggered fitment options. When you fill out the vehicle info part use 94-2004. They have tons of good styles! I am doing TSWs on the coupe.

An A-Pillar pod is only "ricerish" if it's a stock car with aftermarket gauges.

Kevin1989
11-24-2009, 03:34 AM
my only thought is im going to spend 400 bucks on the 5 lug. and once i do that i have to get 5lug rims or im not driving so i would have to spend close to 1700 bucks just to get rims... and it my eyes i cant justify that. I like the 4 lug rims american muscle has, and im still looking for other types right now.

leroy93lx
11-24-2009, 09:13 AM
Typically you will be able to sell your Pony wheels to offset the price of the 5 lug swap. Then you are just buying the wheels you planned to buy anyway. I think there are front and rear parts for sale on here used right now. Check it out, you will be surprised at how cheap it really is to go 5 lug.

Pitbull1052
11-24-2009, 09:28 AM
I spent a little more on mine because I bought an entire rear end but to break it down

SN spindles and calipers $60

cross drilled and slotted rotors (Summit) $100

93 Cobra rear end ($300)

I sold my old rear end for like $60

I sold my old 4 lug stuff for like $40 (I think)

I spent a lot on the rims and tires I bought because I just HAD to have them but really this is the first new set of tires I've put on it since I bought it and I've had it like 4 years now so I don't feel too bad

Rims $600

Tires $600 18's arent cheap!!!!!!!

but I looked for months for a set of 5 lugs bullets, I even bought a set of anniversary cobra's they looked ok not bad but they werent the FR's I've got and that's what I had my mind set on....... I've seen a lot of bullets lately with good tires on them for $2-300 In Dayton and Indy, I'd just rock something cheaper like that until you come accross the deal you're looking for....... or do one of the package deals from American Muscle... it's really not a bad deal once you look at what you're getting. No offense to anyone I just don't like the way the 4 lugs look with exposed lug nuts just my personal preference though...........

I did this a little more expensively than most. I have the SSBC complete 5 Lug swap. The kit includes the, front 5 lug discs, Moser 5 lug axles, rear discs, master cylinder, proportioning valve , brake lines, and parking brake cables. Paid a lil extra for cross drilled and Zinc Dichromate plating. The wheels are American Muscle FR500s:

I'm wondering, i'm sure you've all heard of the on3performance co. that does those wicked cheap/awesome turbo kits for 5.0s, well they sell a 5 lug swap on ebay. They have machined rotors that are turned so that they fit on a fox spindle and axles. Ebay item 130349696422

Looks like a good kit for the money, brand new parts. Only thing I don't really know right now is, compared to a 94+ spindle setup, how different do the rotors from this kit sit, if at all. If not that seems like a pretty good deal
