I bought a 97 Cobra since it was a deal, nice car overall, paint is worn but still looks good, no real rust that I have found yet, interior is nice, but driver seat has a worn through spot...

220,000 miles...

engine is bad, no idea whats wrong with it.. I can get another for it but then need to consider what car is worth fixed with that many miles on it VS. being a parts car to fix a Cobra with lower miles that is wrecked...? has alot of paint chips/dings/flwas as a 220,000 mile car would...but kinda looks good too..

Anyone have a value opinion?

I have seen a few on c/l with clean title and miles in the low 100s going for 6000 to 7000 and aren't selling. I have a 97 with 114,000 miles and very nice but has a rebuilt title and I cant give it away. I have it listed for 4600 and I still have it. Yours not running and with 220,000 miles is going to be a tough sale unless you only asking 1500 to 2500. I would think running with all those miles and the body dings you would still be in the 3000 to 3500 area. If it runs right.
Just my opinion. Thats a shame. I love the verts. That poor thing has been abused.

Thats pretty much what iw as thinking, I believe this will be a parts car, I cannot justify spending 1000-1500 on an engine and selling the car for 3500 at most...

Shame but this one is done I guess, at least the parts will help someone fix a wrecked one...

Already done...

Nobody would have paid the 4500 I would have wanted for it in the condition it was, thats why it was not offered whole.....between the bad engine, rust, mileage, and the whole back of the car being repaired.... not worth fixing, why have 7000 in a car worth 3500 running, worth more in parts then running, sad but true.
