I really hope we win and that kid can do other artwork to his head and be proud of it without ridicule or suspension.

I have to say I agree with the school. Too many distractions in schools as there is.

I have seen so extreme kinds of hair configurations that this looks tame. I think that a bright orange with black stripes jersey would be "louder" and attention getting. Hmmmmm...wonder if the principal is a Steelers fan?

if they just let it go it would have come and passed in a day , now that they made a big deal out of it this will be a distraction for weeks. I mean all the school kids will be talking about the family being on the radio and voiceing all of their own opinions. who made the distraction now?

I agree. The school is within its right to set dress and appearance codes. Freedom of expression my ass.

Why do people think that rules only apply to everyone else? Break a rule or a law, pay the price. Pony up. That is the way it is. I know if I break a rule or law that if caught I will pay a consequence. Why is this so hard to comprehend today for people?

I agree with rules but by the school suspending the kid was just a tad much don't ya think? I would have sent the kid home and had him shave the rest of it off, then he could come back. That seems fair to me :bigthumb

His hair cut is no more of a distraction than the kids that have the big mohawks or the ones that wear the pants with 50 plus zippers on them?

I mean if were going to split straws then lets be fair about it really.
