Go see your doctor. There are things he can give you and you will be fine. There is a reason for it.

You say that about 23 year olds but I think that's the worst time. You haven't gained the ability yet to serparate what is important and what isn't. Only life can teach you that.

I just started having pretty annoying anxiety before I go to sleep each night. Like, it's not an "attack" so to speak...but I'll be sitting there thinking of what happens after I die...and the shit scares the fuck out of me. THen the more I try not to think about it, the more it freaks me out. I just want to be a kid again and have no fucking worries! lol

Ya, I'm a pretty unemotional person or at least I think I am ...but thinking about dying, and never knowing that I was alive...and never living again...just darkness...that scares the fuck out of me. Like, it wouldn't be so bad if I knew I could watch youtube or reruns of my life...but to think that this is the only life I may have...it reaaaaaaally bugs me at night. How do you cope with something like that? I don't wanna let something I cannot avoid burden me in my limited time here, ya know?

Try taking some Viagra, when your running around with a raging hard on, you won't be able to concentrate on anything else.

FYI: If you smoke the green stuff, you are more likely to have a PA.

Job stress = PA, so I quit a job of 14 years over it. If I hadn't I'd be dead now due to the stress.

I had anxiety attacks when i was twenty i felt like i was going to black out and short of breath. the doctor gave me some zoloft six months later I went off the meds and everything was fine. the doc told me it is usually temporary and for me it was. good luck, that shit is not a fun thing to deal with. p.s. if they give you xanex be carful you think there not working so you take another by the time you know it your on your ass....

Ive never experienced a panic attack persay but ive been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder which always is a burden to me. I know when i start feeling anxiety i don't get sad a i get pissed off. I have been on almost every drug out there and now im not on any. Ive made changes in my life that turned out for the best for me. I picked through my friends and chose who was there for the right reasons. I moved from my hometown. Ive also got rid of my ex which was a big source of my mood swings for over 5 years. I do believe if your willing to make changes in your life then you can "control" it on your own. The only problem I have is if i have a bad day i could be that crazy person ready to hurt someone over nothing.

I used too. Everyday at 6pm it would hit me. As I got older and made some life changes it has gone away. Very rarely get them now.

Is it anything in particular that triggers it with you?

Just some advice, see a doctor. I'm 52 and started having anxiety at 37 ish was starting a new business had kids etc....I had a lot going on in my life and I know there is more stress at younger ages now. I hate going to the doc and figured I could whip whatever it was, wrong. At one point after about 6 months of it I broke down and started crying like a baby to my wife, no thoughts of suicide but I was worn down fighting it and just wanted it to stop. It started with general anxiety and then led to panic attacks and they can scare the hell out of you. After I saw the doc, he gave me Paxil which you take daily and he also gave me something real strong you could take before or during panic attacks but as someone alluded to earlier it wipes you out and you can't function real well. I then saw a psychologist and he helped me determine what was causing the anxiety and how to deal with it. After about 4 yrs on the meds I was able to get off them. The reason I'm explaining all this is it can get the best of you, don't let it build up and do nothing because it will probably get worse and you don't have to live with it. I can also tell you on the tree of genetics, its on the same branch as alcolohism and OCD. My dad was an alcoholic so it makes sense. Just sharing so you understand what happened to me and hopefully you can whip it. The fact that you understand what it is, is a step in the right direction.

Good Luck dk

OCD, ADD, Alky.....yeah toss in some PA and have fun!!!!!

Lock yourself inside for 2 months........those were my "dark times".......

MY PA's weren't bad enough for meds, but I was warned when you stop drinking the PA's will be worse until you learn to control them. This is why some alky's can never quit.

See a doc!
