Just when you think things are turning around...

It all goes to crap again. Friday I am at home sick when I hear a knock on the front door. I open the door to find my mother balling her eyes out on my front porch. She drops the bomb on me that my dad's MRI results have come back abnormal. To top it off, they want him to come back in today, for bone scans to look for cancer. My mom doesn't know how to tell my dad that that is what they are looking for because he will flip out. So after that bomb, my mom then proceeds to tell me, that the doctor found a lump in her throat as well. So both my parents are at the doctor as we speak waiting to hear if they both have cancer or not.:( I just don't understand how such terrible things happen to good people. Please keep my parents in your thoughts and prayers because they are the world to me.

This just took my breath for a moment. Your parents mean a lot to me, they are almost like a second mom and dad to me because for the past 4 years I spent much more time with them than I did my own parents, and they treated me as their own son. Tom and Sandy are two of the sweetest people I've ever met. I cant say enough good things about them.

Jen, I know you hate my guts but would it bother you if I called or stopped over to see them? I really do miss them. Like I said they are like parents to me as well. If this will cause problems just PM me and say so and I will stay away. BTW if you ever need anyone to talk to, you still have my number.

I really appreciate everyone's kindness. The waiting game is the worst. I can't concentrate on work when all I am thinking about is what those test results are going to say.

Stay positive, both my parents just went though a bunch of colon stuff many polyps. In the end after 3 weeks of waiting they turned out to be benign. No cancer.

Just got word back from my mom. Both parents are cancer free. Dad has something wrong with the bone in his arm, so we are still waiting to hear about that. Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers!
