Well ive decided to let everyone watch me build this car. Im kinda new to the mustang deal (only my 2nd one and first auto ever) so if you have any suggestions lay em out for me. I will start this out with a few pics that arnt very good but they give you a good idea on what ive started with.

The specs on the car as follows.

84 coupe was originally a 4cyl car. Has 108,xxx original miles on it.
302 .30 over
289 heads off of a 65 mustang. freshened up a bit of course
Holley 650 CFM carb
Holley Mechanical fuel pump
BBK shortys
flowmaster mufflers

It has a C4 trans with a 164 tooth flywheel
Hughes 2500 stall
forward manual controlls
and has been freshend up a bit

8.8 rear end with a 3.55 gear
4cyl springs out back
lakewood 90/10's up front
frame ties
Centerfield big n littles

Theres a good amount of money already in this car but I want to take it to the next level. For now im looking to get a cage, racing buckets, 5pt harnesses and throw some more gear in the rear, hopefully a set of aluminum heads and some spray untill i can get enough cash to build a 408.

The interior will be gutted out back looking into making some rear panels out of some sheet metal and thats about it.

Eventually im going to do a color change with burnt orange on the bottom and blacking out the top following the body lines (I will have to get a pic to show you)

Did a little to the drivers side front floor board today have some before and after shots. The rust in the pics is all surface rust so it was easy to take a wire wheel and buzz it off and make it all pretty.

Imo the pics don't do any justice. I have been pleased with the minimal rust on the car, With only 1 spot of through and through rust i think its in great shape for a 84. Now I need my decklid and there won't be any rust holes on it!!

I've seen this car in person, and must say she's clean! Get that cage in Bobby, and get that spray goin too! She's gonna haul buddy:bigthumb The ponys look nice on it too, and those Dr's will hook way better than your old BFG's ever did. I should know lol...
