Took my car to the NMCA World Finals this weekend. Sondra Leslie was driving it for some practice. She'll be driving the car all next year in NMRA Super Stang. This is her 10th pass EVER down the dragstrip!

Car has a stock shortblock, Livernois heads, custom cams, Techco Supercharger @ 9 psi, full exhaust and a torque converter. Suspension is bone stock except FRPP lowering springs and trans is stock. Can't wait to take it down the track myself now!

Figured it would have blown by now. Injectors are pegged, fuel pump is done and it's spinning close to 7,500 through the traps, lol

Can't really launch it much harder without a trans brake. That was a 1.55 60' which isn't bad.

Did I mention it weighs 3,600 lbs?

Nah, will probably be slower. She has me by 60 lbs or so, lol. Plus the weather was very good down there.

No one was hurt. The car took all the force I didn't feel a thing. I was trying to change lanes coming up to a stop light. At the last minute some one was flying up the lane I was trying to go to and the person in front of me stopped and I didn't see her till it was too late.

Wow pushing that trans into the 10's is impresive, especially with no upgrades besides the converter. If it makes you feel better that converter is one of a kind, I have never built another like that. The clearance to the pump was so hard to work with I went to something else. I did just get better input shafts for that trans in 2 days ago. Be easy on overdrive that planet is weak and there is no fix. The rest of it can be made to handle it. Hope you get it fixed soon, that sucks.

Nope not totalled. They are starting on it today. If it had frame damage or major issues I'd push for the total. It's all cosmetic and wiring and they are replacing the harness.

gonna move the horn, paint the hood latch you can see through the grill black and put some black screen in front of the intercooler.
