Well it's official, Rachel and I are moving... to New Zealand!

A fair few of you already know but Rachel and I are moving to New Zealand. After a few crazy weeks ahead, dropping stuff off at the shipping company, finishing training up my replacement at work, saying our goodbyes, etc. we leave November 1st for Las Vegas and are going to spend a week out there and on the West coast. We fly for N.Z. November 8th and our stuff should arrive 6-8 weeks later. I am originally from New Zealand have had a strong desire to go back for the last year or so(I'm blaming it on Obama :lol: jk). I miss the weather, I miss the ocean, extended family and quite honestly just the pace in general is far more relaxed.

Here is where we are moving to in N.Z.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tauranga. It's very tough leaving friends, family, etc. to head back but we feel we are making the right decision and worst case scenario, if it's really not for us we can always pack up and move back again! :bigthumb

PS: If anybody needs any PC work done before I roll out, hit me up. Need some spending cash for the West Coast! :D

We are staying with family initially for the first couple of months while we get established. I will be doing some remote work for my dad's company here and helping with the transition to the new guy and I do have a couple of really good leads on jobs right now. Honestly I am just looking forward to not carrying a real busy schedule for the next couple of months and taking a serious vacation for the first time in 10+ yrs. :bigthumb

Housing is not too bad? All the real estate pricing online, will be in $NZ It was 2-1 back in May but thanks to the EXTREME decline of the $US thanks to our retarded government printing it like there is no tomorrow, it is now around $1.30 to every $1 US :rolleyes:

Oh, I never did any research, I was just going by what the wikipedia link said.
