 big thanks to dawson94cobra first off, got the thermostat done in no time

as a repay for the work onthe t stat i drove dawson to kil kare to pick some parts up, drove fine. all the way there all the way back.... played with a 04 cobra and a 370 Z on the highway.

got off the highway get back in town and it starts getting hot again....
go back to dawsons shop run an pressure test, and find a frigging coolant leak behind the waterpump....

at this point im pissed as helll and praying that that is the problem that its sucking in air from the busted seal...
if i have to replace a head gasket im going to kill someone.

I remember seeing that for sale for awhile. Wonder if it just sat too long without being drove. My parents had an old V8 Tbird that sat for a couple months and the water pump seals went bad. Replaced it and all was fine...hopefully it is an easy fix for you. But if you need a water pump I have one brand new from Ford Racing. Never installed but painted black...realized it did not fit the '94 a little too late. :D

There is a drain hole up underneath the waterpump, hard to see unless you get under the car, but usuallly when the seal goes bad the pump will start to leak out of there, run down the underside of the pump and look like a gasket leaking. It could be the gasket, could be the water pump. Just be prepared for either. If the car has some miles on the pump, they are cheap enough to just replace while you are in there. Be careful with the bolts that hold the pump on, they are prone to breakage.
