Good luck hooking there...last time I was there I was over a tenth off in my 60'. Studded snow tires might work better than slicks there. I plan on going down to thornhill tomorrow night to run some T&T passes durning their regular bracket race.

me too ... 1.67-1.72's ... hit 2nd gear and was heading toward the wall on 2 runs ... my slicks were shot though, shannon hooked me up with some 26x10 stiff balls  ... i want to try those out ...

well it hooked ... 1.535 on my last hot lap pass ... thanks for the stiff balls shannon  ... 11.41 @ 119.17 ... i knew the car had it in it, just needed some traction ... i know what im buying this winter ...
congrats on your 5 - 11 second passes ... 11.86 and the air was a little worse than we thought ... not to mention the elevation of ts ... didnt know it sat that high ...

No problem Ricky...glad they helped.
Congrats on your new best and that last pass would have been an easy .3x if it wasn't hot lapped.
Funny my best ever 60' NA pass I have ever got 1.54 today was hot lapped too and went .86 so I think the 7x is there.
I should have the video's up tomorrow!

Didn't you run your new best?

Great runs guys. I left after waiting, and waiting for whatever unfolded at the end of the track when they shutit down. Hope it was only a broken car and not an injury. It was not my day today. The car was fine, it was all crappy driver. Bad hair day maybe. The only thing I did right on my last pass was cross the line. LOL!!! At least I learned that I'm not allergic to yellow jacket bee stings. OUCH! See you all next Sunday at QSL!!!

yes i did, twice ~ lol ... previous best was 11.48, with new traction 11.41-11.46-11.49 ... the 11.49 was a 1.535 60ft ((best ever)), but i hot lapped it ... mph fell from 119 to 117 ... go figure  ... anyway im stoked, 357 to the wheels and a basic ass 331 ...
i think its going low 30's high 20's at edge in some negative air ~ if we get it :D yesterday was around 900ft according to shannons doppler communications and weathery

with correction factors = wind changes, dew points, b-pressure, humidity, track altitude ~ i really went a 9.98
i remember when scarygt would log on and do that back in '06-'07
ralphy, whatever happened to RRRRRRRRRRRRRRalph?

If we can get some deep -DA...I think some .6x and .2x are possible....we should have went to E20 today!

It's not bad...I just seem to always run a tenth faster at e20...part of it is TS is 900' E20 is 492' I think the dips cost ya a little too. Lol

I know the stars would have to align for a .6 but the math says it is possible in the right air and everything works:angel:
You should not have a problem with a .7x...the way your luck is you'll probably hit a .5x:lol:
Congrats on your 11.80 on Sunday...thats flying:bigthumb

Ahh, I had a 25 shot of atmospheric pressure... I wish it would run that number at sea level...
I was just tickled to see (5)- 1.55 sixty foots... and to go runner-up amongst all the Quick Stick cars...

I don't feel them really but walk it once and look....you can see it...looks like the track runs up hill:lol:
I do like the small atmosphere and is easier to dial your car in there...I'm not knocking it...use to be the only place I could run the Cobra without getting kicked out.

Tri state is great........ until you start going fast.
its not to bad of a track i went a 1.30 60 foot and a 5.72 at 121 to the 1/8 sat on a little 26 /8.5 slick lifted at the 1/8 but still went a 9.54 at 101.. but on sunday at kil kare it went a 5.63 at 121 in the 1/8 with a 1.24 60 foot on 8.5s so there is a diffence :bigthumb but there is a nice bump a little past the 330 that will get your attention

a .6x???:eek2:
i think shannons 11.6x's are very possible ... 11.86 in the crap we had saturday (hot lapped) ... 900 ft alt, 900 ft da ... a track that sent me soaring through the air at the 330 mark
imagine edgewaters alt and -833 da, like the weather was on sunday ... 11.6x's ...
james' friend in the vette ran saturday at tristate 11.24 and only 1 pass on sunday (edgewater) 11.14 on a worse 60 ft ...
james went 11.45 at 120 plus on sunday, previous best 11.75 at 118 ...
you just need the negative da and a hooking FLAT track :bigthumb

james said you better be glad his car backfired twice in 4th, he was freight training you hard on the big end ... he said you slept and got away with one ...
i think rixxxgt missed 4th on the race before ... that 331 pulls hard on the big end ...
you guys better be glad he only races twice a year, we'd all be in trouble ...

Ok Rick, please excuse me for my language because I've been drinking but seriously, why the fuck would I risk going red on James? he doesn't powershift or powershifts on some gears and not on others, inconsistent, etc.. Besides, I think he had trouble finding 3rd or 4th to begin with... I hit 3rd, and gave him a look in the mirror and I knew right away, he was done...
But, I guess I "got away with one" because I played it safe.... Well, explain to me why I would risk going red to his .169 light...? All that matters is I won, he lost, so it is what it is.. I'll tell you like I told an "auto/big tire" chevy monkey back at home... If I'm so terrible at what I do on the track, come down and getchya some!! It's that easy... Ask Jack Detzel what kinda light I strapped on him?... mmmmmmmm.. .011.....
and what are you talking about freight training? Fuck, I would hope so... a 347, 360+ horsepower against my less than 300hp car.... Geez... Give me his engine or YOUR engine, and I'll do 10's... plain and simple... BUT, I got a k-member and a-arms and a motorcraft battery, blah, blah, blah.(it's the same old local song and dance... a k-member and a-arms is worth more than aluminum heads and a stroker kit, I suppose..).. :) but, like I said earlier, he was NO WHERE around at the 1/8th mile... the big end don't start to the 1000' to me.... 11.98 @ 106 mph... ya think I lifted?... maybe... ya like the maybe?:cool2:
Anyways, I just wanted to say what I was thinkin since I'm under the influence... sorry if I sound like a prick!:tongue2:.....:bigthumb
Anyway, get your ass busy puttin' a 2-step on that car so you know what you're launching at.... A "wide open" throttle launch is the ticket.... You'll get that 11.2x! and I'm sure Shannon will stomp me but Shannon is cool! Without him, my car wouldn't be where it is today...:bigthumb

Maybe I do but you weren't there rick and when people try to dis-credit what I do, it burns me up... a win is a win... if it's not pretty, I'll still take it... Nobody said I was terrible but your post insinuated just that.... Anyway, no matter how you win or what anybody tells me, I'm not gonna sit behind a computer screen and type about how you won or got lucky... These things can be said in person... ;)
And steve: please stop with the comparing me to your wife...:bigthumb
