Make sure you get a NEW 360. I picked up a refurb when I sent my original 360 in for repairs and the replacement RRoD and M$ won't fix it.

Yep, went through GameStop. I almost went with the upgraded version for more cars, but after seeing what vehicles are included, I'm glad I didn't

The collector's version doesn't come with more cars, as far as I know; only a case, 2GB thumb drive and a key chain.

Make sure you get a NEW 360. I picked up a refurb when I sent my original 360 in for repairs and the replacement RRoD and M$ won't fix it.

Even if you get a new one, make SURE it has the 'Jasper' chip set. Odds are the new ones that are in stock are the Jaspers, but with lingering inventory, you have to be careful. The easiest way to tell, is where the info sticker is on the system. You can see the sticker through the box (barcode sticker on the console), and the Jasper chispset consoles will have a amperage use rating of 12.1A, some 4 amps lower than the originals, and 2 amps less than the 'Falcon' sets...less amps, less heat, less likely RRoD.

That and I believe the Jasper's are in all Xbox 360's manufactured Aug 08 or later.
