Read on Beth's FB Page that Gil passed away yesterday.

For those that did not have the pleasure of meeting Gil, he was the man. Just like us younguns. Always a great time at the track, always fun to hang out with.

He had awesome stories and was not afraid to lend a hand to help anyone.

I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to know him. Even though I didn't know him as well as some, it still brings a tear to my eye as i'm typing.

My thoughts and prayers go out to beth and jeff.

He will be missed by me and many!

God Speed!

Gil was the man. It was almost impossible to not have a good time around him. I just played trivia at Dickmann's with him and Kevin on Tuesday night. He will definitely be missed. Thoughts and prayers to the Lange family.

Woah! What happened? :(

Beth said they thought it might have been a heart attack, but that is not verified. It happened last night, in Minnesota. He was on a business trip.

Gil (Ded Dad as he liked to be called) was a great guy. He used to camp with us in Bowling Green every year. He just came to Edgewater a few months ago to say goodbye to Twisted with me and everybody else.

RIP Gil - I will miss him. :(

Beth, Jeff, Matt - if you need ANYTHING, just ask.

Jeff and Beth,

I'm very sorry for your loss. I talked to Gil several times over the years at various tracks and I had a ton of respect for him. Quite simply...a great man!

My condolences...

Gill was one of the good ones out there. The funeral will be next friday. I will let Jeff put in all the details. When i was a little guy, i would play at his home with Jeff. Good times. He is and will be missed. Jeff, Beth, the rest of the family, if you need anything, just let me know.

We need to do something in honor of Gil at the 10/18......and I don't mean burnouts.

Last time I chatted with Gil was at Dickmann's after Vinny's layout.

Gil: "You having fun at the track????"
Me: "Yes."
Gil: "All that matters."

Very Sad news.

I was fortunate enough to have spent time camping with Gil & the Dedpedal crew a few times. Gil was a great man and always made me feel welcome. (Which is what makes the Dedpedal crew so wonderful). He will be missed.

Beth, Jeff, You know where to find me if you need anything.

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news.* Jeff/Beth, I know how hard it is to lose a parent.* Words can't express my deepest and most sincere sympathy.Ded Dad will always mean the world to me.* Some of Kyle and I's happiest days together were spent with him and well, many of you.* I'll treasure his memory fondly in my heart forever.I remember so much about him and can picture his smile right now.* Nobody gave better hugs than Ded Dad.* Never doubt how much he loved his family and you, his Dedpedal Family.* He was such a softie when he bragged about his kids and SBZ peeps.* You all meant more to him than you could possibly know--even you Kevin;)He meant so much to Kyle and I.* My thoughts are with you all.....Lisa Keezer:angel: (FMGT1999's soon-to-be ex-wife)
