ok, so I posted a thread a while ago about heads with my cam setup...im currently running stock heads still..i never did put the p heads on...cause I'm pretty sure i'm giong to supercharge it this winter.... Now if I go that route, should I go w/ the p heads or go w/ a aftermarket set like AFR..etc... I'm not sure what all the numbers mean w/ the different heads. I don't know what compression I would need w/ a supercharger... SO many questions lol..I'm trying not to confuse anyone here! So basically i'm asking what would be a good set up?
you guys have been a great help so far!!!

The 205 is the cc (cubic centimeter) volume of the head. 205's are normally used on mildly modified motors.

205 refers to intake runner volume. If you were to fill the intake runner full of water (valve closed), it would take 205cc's of water. Combustion chamber refers to the side of the head where the valves/sparkplug are(this is where combustion takes place) those are usually somewhere around 62cc, but can vary from 45-70. The combustion chamber will drastically affect comp. ratio.

There are a lot of variables in setups. A set of 205's on a 306 with 10:1 comp, decent cam/intake will be a peaky high rpm engine. A set of 205's on a 408 with 10:1 comp., decent cam/intake, will have a much broader power curve.

I made 550rwhp w/a 331c.i., vortech s-trim, anderson b4 cam, Holley systemaxx, 9:1 comp. Pretty good power out of a basic setup.

If you have p heads, replace the valve springs, stab in a small cam and any decent supercharger and you should have a very fun car.

well, i already have a custom cam in it. Specs= Intake duration is 288, exhaust duration is 298. Intake life is .512, exhaust lift is .530. Lobe seperation is 112...

I just wonder what kind of heads I should get? As far as I know its a rebuilt 302... It did have a set of AFR heads on it..not sure what kind or any numbers..."Greazy" would know.

Twisted wedge's are always a good/cheap head for a 302, but there are a lot of great heads out there. It all depends on your goals.

you have to watch what size valves are in the heads if you are still using stock piston's and not wanting to fly cut them. trickflow or afr165's would be the best imo if you are still using stock pistons.

all ford heads suck.....

depends on combo.....

I made 440 HP with a carbed 306 and unported GT-40Y heads.....

A friend went 11.1@ 123 with stock shortblock, same unported Y-heads X-cam, and a 7 lb Vortech....

Totally depends how you pick your parts, most guys just start buying things without doing reasearch....
