I found so much mixed info on the net I am not completely sure what I have but I got a good idea. The block reads D4AE-6015-AA8. Some people were showing it as a 74 but I found other info showing 75-77 which I beleive is probly right. I was hoping for a 69-71. I hear they had more nickel in the casting and were stronger. All you 351 guru's school me because I want to build a all natural big windsor of at least 408 or more cubes pushing 500 or greater. I know nothing.
Thanks

Its a '74 block which is weaker than the 69-71, but stronger than the later model years. That block should take 800 hp no problem, but a girdle is a good idea.

Thanks Chad. I was hoping to here from you. I heard I could build a 393 with 302 piston, 351 rods and a stroker crank with no mods to the block. Is that right? Can I pull 500+ out of one naturally?

Definately, you just need: good set of heads/cam/intake:bigthumb My combo is pretty mild, and it makes 475+ fwhp n/a.

Damn Chad......what kind of tranny are you using for you to make 475+Fwhp. What size slicks do you run on the front of it to get it to hook?

Because of money issues I will probly be reusing my current heads. A set of twisted wedges that have some pretty good port work done. I am hopeing they will be able to make 500+ on a big windsor with a good cam and intake. If not I may not attempt it. Everything else from my current engine combo would end up for sale and hopefully pay for most of the other parts I need lol! I make around 550 fwhp now and don't really want to lose any on the swap.
