So i got this 84lx yesterday runs great all day yesterday. I wake up today drive 3 miles and fill it up. Bam 1 mile later starts cutting out and dies on me. Start it back up and get 2 feet. So i get towed home (which sucks since I was only a mile or so away. Swap out the carb thinking the carbs junk. Nope another mile away and boom did it again.
Started looking and hey that thing that looks like a filter at first glance is a damn fuel pump. ok that fine but its a electric pump (not hooked up btw) and the mechanical pump all on the same line! So now what do i have to do? Get a fpr and go to work. Plug off the mechanical and hope that works for now.
Now I know by now everyone says whats shady. The guy wont pick up his phone at all and i was supposed to pick up a 89 front end conversion (bumper, lights, hood ect...) And now I have no ride to get back and forth to work if this idea goes bad. I wont have the funds to fix untill next friday but hes got a perfectly good running and nice 79k20.
4got to mention that the turn signals dont work lol.
anyways if anyones around wilmington ohio and can maybe lend a hand lmk.
